For all of you that have laptops or even netbooks that have a Broadcom wireless chipset, the need to mess around with ndiswrapper are pretty much over. No, Braodcom haven't released the source for their drivers, but they have at long last provided a distributable blob. My main interest in this driver is for the Dell Mini series of netbook, but this driver also fits many other machines; anything with a BCM4311, BCM4312, BCM4321, and BCM4322 based hardware should work (also some that aren't mentioned here will work ;-) ). The great guys over at Packman are kind enough to provide the relevant kernel module in an easy to use -kmp package, just look for broadcom-wl. If you wish you can manually download the driver from here, it is built against the latest released kernel for 10.3, 11.0 and 11.1

Thanks go to Alberto Passalacqua for pointing me to the driver, Andrea Florio for packaging it, Pascal Bleser and Detlef Reichelt for enabling the updated kernels and general hocus pocus magic needed :-)
